Rosemary Griffiths is not a woman that normally takes things seriously. That was until she hosted the very first Welsh Spiritual
Acknowledgement Awards Ceremony that she organised (in conjunction with spiritual Connextions) in May 2008. The evening was a massive success and Rosemary was inspired by the many, many emails and phone calls she received from participants and VIP’s that attended on a job extremely well done! Many of the Welsh supporters travelled to support their fellow countrymen to Portsmouth in September where the national awards were held where more than a couple of the prestigious Awards were awarded to Wales nominees.
So, what should a girl do if the Spiritual Connextions team choose not to go further with the awards side of their operation? Baring in mind that for many people out there, having someone acknowledge the very hard work they often put in that nobody see’s is a fantastic support to many who work for weeks and weeks on end seeing nobody at all and the general opinion being that the profile of this area of expertise is often written off as being less than the professional status it deserves.
Of course (you’ve guessed it!) Rosemary, having been fuelled by the success of 2008, decided that enough was enough and once again has agreed to roll her sleeves up to reveal her pink, fluffy marigolds to polish lovingly her beautiful glass vases (all of which are named) to grace and decorate the tables of those attending.
Rosemary is not one to do things by halves all Rosemary Griffiths events support the charity that she holds closest to her heart –The Withybush Pain Support Group, who serves people from across the whole of Pembrokeshire who live with chronic pain or any form of long term illness or disability.
Rosemary explains: “We hope that everyone – even if only dipping their toe into this magnificent spiritual world – will get behind us on this project and pledge support. Whether they be spiritual organisations, churches, private business or simply individuals, please help us to make this day something to remember, an event to treasure and the sort of success story that everyone will want to put in their diary every year - something to cherish and something of true spiritual value to celebrate our way of living.”
